Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of refrigeration technicians and mechanical service staff. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
Operational Oversight: Oversee daily operations of the refrigeration and mechanical services department, ensuring all work is completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards.
Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute installation, maintenance, and repair projects for refrigeration systems and related mechanical equipment.
Client Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly. Ensure customer satisfaction through effective service delivery.
Budget Management: Prepare and manage budgets for projects and service operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all services comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards and environmental guidelines.
Technical Expertise: Provide technical support and guidance for complex issues, troubleshooting equipment and system failures as needed.
Training and Development: Implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team, keeping them updated on the latest technologies and industry practices.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service activities, including inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules. Prepare regular reports for management.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration Technology, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in refrigeration and mechanical services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., EPA Section 608, HVAC/R certifications) are highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, HVAC principles, and mechanical equipment. Proficient in diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities to address challenges and implement effective solutions.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Working Conditions:
May require occasional on-call availability and overtime.
